About Us
Robert N. Goldsmith, DMD

Pediatric Dentistry Community Drive is led by Dr. Robert N. Goldsmith and his extensive knowledge and experience in pediatric dental care. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, with a dual focus in biology and neuroscience. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004 from the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Goldsmith completed a two-year residency program in pediatric dentistry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2006, simultaneously earning a Master of Dental Science. He achieved Pediatric Board Certification in 2010.
Dr. Goldsmith is committed to professional excellence and is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association®, and the New York State Dental Association.
Dr. Goldsmith’s path into dentistry was inspired by his own experiences. During college, he underwent jaw surgery, and the compassionate care of his oral surgeons opened his eyes to the field of dentistry. While in dental school, he participated in an outreach mission to Peru, working with children, which solidified his passion for pediatric care in particular. This formative experience motivated him to focus his career on helping children develop positive dental habits and overcome their fears. Dr. Goldsmith continues to provide dental care in El Salvador and Ecuador for children born with cleft lip and palates with the Global Smile Foundation. He, along with our entire staff, takes pride not only in delivering excellent care but also in providing outstanding customer service.

Modern Technology Combined With a Personal Touch
At the heart of our practice is a dedication to creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children. Using state-of-the-art technology, we develop treatment plans that prioritize both comfort and effective results. Whether performing procedures with advanced tools like digital X-rays or creating a relaxed setting for young patients, Pediatric Dentistry Community Drive constantly strives to redefine the dental experience.
We know that children don’t always look forward to going to the dentist. We hope we can change that—or, at the very least, reduce the anxiety associated with it. We aim to do that right from the first dental visit. There are a lot of reasons that pediatric dentistry is different from general practice, and one of them is psychological—it’s important to help children feel comfortable. Not only does this make the visit easier for all concerned in the present, but it also helps kids associate the dentist’s office with positive images—something that can encourage a lifetime of positive oral health habits.
